So many of us card makers rely on the Faith, Hope and Happiness Couture Collection to make cards and invitations for baptisms, confirmations, Easter and those hard-t-make sympathy cards. Well, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the chance to use my set of Faith dies for Christmas card designs. The cross is a classic motif, made even more elegant with that amazing Couture touch of detail. Pair these crosses (there are two in the collection) with specialty cardstock for instant sparkle and shine in this Christmas card!

Tip: For adhering intricate pieces and small accents, I prefer using a spray mount adhesive. Place your die-cut elements on scrap paper, spray lightly, and let set for a few seconds before placing on your project.
Cut, score and fold white cardstock to create a 5 x 7 inch card blank. Cover the card front with green cardstock.
Use the CD from the Style Guide to print out the 006 Vintage Foliage pattern onto white cardstock. Trim a 4-1/2 inch wide piece and mat the top and bottom edges on copper cardstock, then glue to the front of the card. Trim excess paper from the sides of the card.
Die-cut two ornate borders from silver glitter cardstock. Die cut two scallop-edge pieces of copper cardstock. Use spray mount adhesive to glue each ornate border onto a scallop-edge border. Position the two layered border together, straight edges touching.
Stamp and emboss “at Christmas, all roads lead home” on the right side of a 3/4″ wide strip of green cardstock. Mat the top and bottom edges on copper cardstock. Glue to cover the seam between the two borders.
Die-cut the swirl accents and the swirl-and-arrow accents from copper cardstock. Die-cut the heart swirl accent twice, once from copper cardstock and again from silver glitter cardstock. All accents are found in the Four Fold Card template.
Use spray mount to adhere the elements to the ridge edge of the border piece, inserting the silver heart inside the open space on the accent as shown. Glue the piece to the card front.
Die-cut the small cross from copper cardstock. Die-cut two ornate crosses: one from silver glitter cardstock, one from green cardstock. Punch a 1″ circle from cream cardstock. Glue the small cross onto the ornate cross, aligning the center element. Glue the circle behind the ornate cross to fill the center. Adhere two layers of foam tape behind the cross, then adhere to the green ornate cross, positioning it slightly offset to create a shadow. use foam tape to adhere to the card front.
Tie a bow in cream silk ribbon and glue to the side of the card as shown. Add a rhinestone to the center of the cross.
