You Will Need:
Choose 2 different patterned papers and cut 3 triangles from each. I cut my triangles on my ScanNCut, and set the size to 5’’ high. I also added in a score line down the centre of the triangle. Cut out and fold in half lengthways. (If using double-sided card stock, fold so that the pattern you want to use if facing inwards).
Glue the folded triangle pieces together. Take 1 half of the triangle and glue it to the half of the alternating patterned paper. Continue this process until you have used up all 6 pieces, then glue the last two free edges together to complete your first tree!
There you have it, a 3D paper Christmas tree which would look really pretty as a table centre piece!
Why not do a few, in different patterned papers? You can even just use 4 triangle pieces instead of 6 if you’d prefer.
Alternative Paper Christmas Tree…
Here’s another version of the Paper Christmas tree, created using just a single triangle shape.
Simply cut a triangle shape from your chosen patterned paper, glue a pipe cleaner to the back of it then glue the end of the pipe cleaner to the top of a button. You can make sure it stays upright by bending the pipe cleaner into place so that your tree stands tall and secure! Then finish off with a simple bow, or even a die-cut a star on top!
I think I might make these for my place settings at the Christmas table this year, I’ll just add the guests’ names to the front of the tree!
