Janet enjoys quilting, dressmaking, knitting, painting, drawing, gardening, baking and reading. And she loves being at home with her thrifted and handed-me down treasures.

Congratulations to our Crafter of the Week – Erika Johnson from Winter Haven, Florida.
I started at about 8 years old painting ceramics and tole painting with my mother and grandmother. I was also taught at a young age to knit, embroider and sew what I call, a straight line. A beloved teacher, Phyllis, taught me art and allowed me to be her teacher’s aid during summer school when I was 12. How I loved sharing what she taught me with the younger kids.
Painting with acrylics and watercolors started out as my favorite pastime. During the last five years I found papercrafting to be so satisfying. I give most of what I make as gifts to friends and people at my church. I love to bring a little joy and beauty in their lives, especially if they are going through hard times.
Card making is my new passion. I love to make different shapes and challenge myself to try a new technique weekly. Book folding is a close 2nd. I love Debbi Moore and her patterns are so fun.
Last Saturday we had a big party for women at my church and I made 5 birdhouses for centerpieces on the tables and we raffled them off as door prizes. The ladies who won were so thrilled and I just loved their excitement so I jumped up and down! Thank you Create and Craft for making these amazing crafts and products available to us here in the US. And thank you to my Jesus who gives me my talent and ability to share my love for crafting.

Congratulations to Crafter of the Week, Eileen Harvey of Pamplin Virginia!
I am 70 years young. I started sewing when I was 10 or 11 years. I am a married woman with 2 children. I bought my craft kits of the month and from there I began my crafting journey. I also started making my own clothes and found it was hard finding fabric suitable for baby boys so I started making dolls and their clothes for friends daughters.
When my children started having their own families I began making memory albums for them and started collecting dolls and sewing for them for myself. I happen to catch your show last year and started my new hobby of card making and continuing memory albums with the dies and especially Hunkydory papers and kits. I also love flower gardening and some vegetables and love bird watching and feeding.”
