Champagne Cork Keepsake
I always save Champagne corks from special occasions but they always end up in a drawer gathering dust… until now! This small rectangular pallet makes an ideal base to show off a cork from the most special occasion of all – my wedding day!
Gone to the Beach!
Beachcombing is one of my most favourite pastimes and I can spend hours upon hours searching for beach ‘treasures’. The small square pallet with some of my finds on it is on the wall close to my computer – a lovely reminder of some great days by the sea.
I’m not really broken hearted but it seems like a good title for the piece! I’ve used the largest of the pack of three pallets to make use of some broken china (I never throw away broken china!). Like most crafters I love using a heart shape in my various creations – but it took a surprisingly long time before I was happy that the pieces were in just the right place!
I found this white mirror at a car boot/garage sale for $1 – a bargain! I always look in charity/thrift shops for such things and I pounce on those which have a large flat frame – just perfect for some crafty decoration. To get the lovely pastel colours I used Lindys Stamp Gang – Beauty School Dropout Magical Set and the ‘flowers’ are some of the MDF stars from the Stamps Away Christmas Wreath set. Layering them worked really well on this frame and some odd buttons give a crafty finishing touch.
My Guardian Angel!
Random or odd ceramic tiles are great to use as bases for many a crafting project and I used this lovely large one as a home for this blue winged angel. I used the blue and silver colours from the ArtC – Fine Grained Matte Metallic Texture Cream Collection and due to its gritty and fast drying nature it went on best using my fingers as opposed to a brush.
