Thanksgiving is a beautiful time to gather with family and reflect on the blessings of the year. While we often spend time decorating the “adults” table, don’t forget about the kids! I decided to recreate a project that I made for my kids’ table approximately 10 years ago. This is a fun piece of table décor as well as a party favor for the kids. There are dozens of websites that have FREE printables for Thanksgiving-themed coloring books and games. You can even print out FREE placemats. So, along with creating this fun turkey crayon holder, make sure you print out some coloring activities for the kids. I hope you have as much fun creating this as I did. In fact, if you have little ones at home, this is a perfect project that they can help you prepare ahead of time before the party!

Place the Crayons into the Styrofoam ball and press until firmly set. Spread them out evenly toward the back of the ball. These will mimic the turkey feathers.
Continue this step until the entire ball is covered except for the bottom surface area.
Use Pinflair Liquid Buff-it Autumn Gold to paint the flat area (this is the best paint for use on Styrofoam). Optional: you can also lightly brush over the brown crepe paper or tissue paper to add a bit of texture).
Cut out the FREE printable turkey face. Add clear accents on the nose and glitter on the red portion if desired. You can also mat on cream paper and ink as shown. Once dry, hot glue onto the front of the completed ball to create the finished piece.
